Mint, sell and redeem
All three operations are processed by the stock hub on Arc. Mint and sell orders use a fast cross-chain route. Redemptions use the official bridge only.
Mint (USDC to stock tokens)
- You send USDC on Arc and specify the minimum number of stock tokens to receive. Any USDC sent above the order amount serves as a fee reserve for cross-chain fees. The unused portion of the fee reserve is refunded.
- A service fee of 0.25% is deducted from the order amount.
- The order enters a first-in, first-out queue.
- The USDC is transferred to Robinhood Chain, where the reserve vault purchases the stock in the Uniswap pool. The purchase is not executed below your specified minimum.
- The stock tokens are minted to your address on Arc.
| Limit | Value |
|---|---|
| Minimum order | $20, after the service fee |
| Maximum single order | $1,000, after the service fee (raised from $250 on 2026-10-09) |
| Issuance limit per stock | See Stock tokens and reserves |
The maximum is raised in stages based on operating conditions ($250 at launch, $1,000 since 2026-10-09). Each increase will be announced in advance. It passes through the 48-hour timelock and then a further 48-hour delay in the capacity contract, so it takes effect no earlier than 96 hours after it is submitted. The guardian can lower the limit with immediate effect.
The contracts do not specify a completion time for mints. Completion time depends on the cross-chain route.
Sell (stock tokens to USDC)
- You burn stock tokens on Arc and specify the minimum amount of USDC to receive.
- The reserve vault sells the stock on Robinhood Chain. A service fee of 0.25% is deducted from the proceeds.
- The USDC is paid to your address on Arc.
If the sale fails on Robinhood Chain, your stock tokens are minted back to you. The minimum order and the maximum single order apply to mint orders only.
Redeem to Robinhood Chain
A redemption exchanges stock tokens on Arc for the native stock token on Robinhood Chain. It is available from the Stocks page.
- You specify the amount of stock tokens and a recipient address on Robinhood Chain. The recipient must be an address you control.
- The stock tokens are burned on Arc. The service fee is retained in stock tokens.
- The delivery instruction is sent through Circle CCTP to Ethereum and then through the official Robinhood Chain bridge.
- The reserve vault delivers the native stock token to the recipient address.
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Service fee | 0.25%, retained in stock tokens |
| Gateway fee | 1 USDC, paid with the transaction on Arc |
| Other fees | None charged to you on Ethereum or Robinhood Chain |
| Expected time | Depends on Ethereum and bridge confirmations; no guaranteed time |
- The expected time is an estimate and is not specified by the contracts. It can be longer when Ethereum is congested, or when the Circle attestation or the Robinhood Chain bridge is delayed.
- The Stocks page delivers the stock only. When calling the contract directly, you can elect to receive USDG instead. In that case the stock is sold at the Robinhood Chain pool price with no minimum amount; if the sale fails, you receive the stock.
- Redemptions do not depend on the fast route and cannot be paused.
- If delivery on Robinhood Chain cannot be completed, the amount becomes claimable from the reserve vault.
Market closures
- While the market for a stock is closed or trading in it is halted, the site does not accept new mint or sell orders for that stock. Redemptions are not affected.
- The stock hub does not check the oracle price. An order submitted directly to the contract while the market is closed is executed at the prevailing price in the Robinhood Chain pool. That price can differ materially from the last closing price. The only protection is the minimum amount you specify, so set it to reflect a price you are prepared to accept.
Pauses
The guardian can pause new mints. Minting also stops automatically if a mint made through the fast route is not confirmed through the official bridge within 8 days. In that case, only governance can resume minting. Sells, cancellations, claims and redemptions cannot be paused.
Refunds and cancellations
- Order cannot be funded: a mint that would exceed the issuance limit, or whose route fee exceeds its fee reserve, is refunded in full.
- Cancelling a queued mint: you can cancel a queued mint 30 minutes after placing it. The order amount, the service fee and the fee reserve are refunded.
- Cancelling a mint already sent: you can request cancellation 30 minutes after the order's funds were sent to Robinhood Chain. The refund is paid when the funds return, or immediately if the stock hub can advance it.
- Failed purchase: if the purchase fails on Robinhood Chain, the funds are returned. You receive the amount actually returned, plus the service fee and the unused fee reserve.
- After 6 hours: the proceeds of an unfinished sell, or the funds of a failed mint that have not been returned, can be withdrawn as USDG on Robinhood Chain through the official bridge. A gateway fee of 1 USDC applies.
- Undelivered payments: a payment that could not be delivered remains owed to you and can be claimed.
